Erasmus Medical Center

The main building of the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) was pretty outdated after more than 50 years. A teaching hospital is a facility provision where technological progress plays a major role. Furthermore, modern rules and regulations set high standards.

Adjusting the old building to modern requirements and regulations was not a realistic option, also in view of future developments. Therefore, a new hospital was constructed.
