Blackfriars Bridge Station

The redevelopment of one of London’s major commuter hubs
involved the extension of the platforms to accommodate longer
trains and the introduction of a roof canopy over the extended
platform. It was decided by the client network rail that the roof of
the station would make an ideal site for the location of solar
panels.

Eta-com supplied a series of LV busbars the length of the station that was utilized to collect the output of the solar panels for export to the local electricity grid. Eta-com also supplied an interconnecting busbar that connects the Stations North and South substations over the width of the river Thames.
